new

Do you like the new look of the blog? So do ya? 'Cause I do and this is how is is going to stay for a while (even the kissy picture. We are in love and it shows).
Christmas has come and gone. I promised to reveal all I had made as gifts. Ready?

Insane, huh? I didn't have pattern for any of the sewing projects, nor a template for the other crafts (sorry Brittany T. for not putting pictures of the apron up sooner and sorry Cori for not giving you instructions on the shopping cart cover - I REALLY don't know how I even pulled it off). If you want to see more pictures or more in-depth photos, click here.
Christmas day wasn't too chaotic. While we had to go here, there, and everywhere, we never felt too rushed or stressed. The boys received a bundle of gifts; Robert and I received a few heartfelt ones. I was able to visit with Jodi, Matt, and baby Adam (despite their little guy having a bad case of RSV - he ended up being hospitalized for over 3 days). Delicious food was eaten and relaxing naps were taken. We enjoyed spending the day with family and friends.
The night after Christmas, my parents took us out to eat at Olive Garden. We brought Joel along; he was our entertainment for the evening.
Want to know why I love my boys so much? For all of these reasons:

I hope this year has been filled with as much love, excitement, joy, and laughter as it has been for us! See ya next year (I know, lame right?)!

changes are coming

soon. Very soon...

yum

I love December; I've said it before. Such delicious treats. My grandma, my mom, and I got together last week and made a BUNCH of goodies. Just look:
What did all of that good stuff look like when put in cute little bags?
Yummy. You know you want to eat it.
What did my boys do while we "slaved" in the kitchen? Entertained themselves.
(I know Lucas looks fat in the bottom left photo... it is an optical illusion)

'tis the season

I FREAKIN' LOVE DECEMBER! LOVE it. Why? First: my birthday. 14 days and counting. Second: Christmas decorations. I got antsy and actually had decorations up BEFORE December... Third: gifts. Shoot, I'll be honest. It is one of the BIG reasons why I like Christmas so much... Fourth: seasonal food. Peppermint ice cream and eggnog. Bliss.
My friend Gina's birthday is before mine (yes, I've mentioned her in the last few posts. She is the best). Her birthday is December 1st, to be precise. I (via Robert) star and gummy-coke attacked her car. It rocked her socks. Her new hubby had to work that night, but wanted her to have a good birthday despite his absence. He and I started planning. The end result? Well... let's say it involved Indiana Jones, Chipotle, and kidnapping.
Speaking of gifts, my birthday/Christmas gift from Robert arrived. I didn't wait to open it. I COULDN'T wait to open it. I love, love, LOVE it! It is the double stroller I've been begging for pretty much since I found out I was preggers with Lucas. We took it on a 2 mile test drive today. Perfect.
